What to Expect
Your Appointment, Step by Step
Most regenerative visits take about 30 to 60 minutes, including your consultation.

Consultation
Your provider reviews your medical history and past treatments, assesses your skin and facial structure, and agrees with you on the right treatment and how many sessions to plan for.

Prep
Your skin is cleansed and numbed where needed. For PRP, a small blood sample is drawn and spun to concentrate the platelets.

Treatment
The product is placed with fine needles or a cannula. Smooth threads are inserted beneath the skin and stay in place while collagen forms around them.

Treatment Series
Many regenerative treatments work best as a series. Your provider will space your sessions to give collagen time to build between visits.
Downtime
Short and Manageable
Most people go back to work or everyday plans the same day. Mild swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising at the treatment sites are common and usually fade within a few days to a week.
Kybella causes noticeable swelling under the chin that can last a week or more, so plan around it. Sculptra may come with massage instructions for the days after treatment. Contact us right away if you notice unusual pain, skin color changes or blanching after treatment.
Results
When You’ll See It, How Long It Lasts
Radiesse gives some volume right away, with more improvement as collagen builds. Sculptra, PRP and smooth threads work gradually, with results developing over two to three months. Kybella results show in the weeks after each session.
Sculptra results can last up to two years after a series of two to three sessions. Kybella typically takes two to four sessions, and fat cells that have been destroyed don’t come back. Results vary from person to person.

How is this different from regular filler?
Hyaluronic acid filler adds volume right away. Regenerative treatments like Sculptra and Radiesse stimulate your own collagen, so results build gradually and often last longer.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the treatment and your goals. Sculptra is usually two to three sessions, and Kybella two to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Your provider will recommend a plan at your consultation.
Does PRP involve a blood draw?
Yes. A small sample of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which are then injected or applied to the treatment area.
Is Kybella permanent?
Kybella destroys the fat cells it treats, and those cells don’t come back. Keeping a stable weight helps maintain your result.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel a pinch and some pressure. Numbing is used where appropriate, and many products contain or are mixed with lidocaine.
Who shouldn’t get regenerative injectables?
These treatments aren’t recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with an active infection in the treatment area. Certain medical conditions, blood disorders and medications may also rule them out.
