What It Treats
Softer Expression Lines, Still You
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are botulinum toxin injections. Each one temporarily relaxes the specific muscles that crease the skin when you frown, squint or raise your brows, so the lines those movements etch soften and fresh skin stays smoother. Your provider picks the product and the number of units for your anatomy and the amount of movement you want to keep.
Forehead Lines
The horizontal lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows. Treatment is dosed to smooth them while keeping natural brow movement.
Frown Lines (11s)
The vertical lines between the brows that can make you look tired, stressed or annoyed when you aren’t.
Crow’s Feet
The fan of lines at the outer corners of the eyes that deepens when you smile or squint.
Looking for a lip flip or help with a gummy smile? Those small neurotoxin treatments are on our Specialty menu. Neurotoxin can also soften vertical neck bands and sharpen the jawline with a Nefertiti Lift. Deeper lines that are visible even when your face is at rest may respond better to dermal filler or a combination of both, and your provider can talk you through the options.
What to Expect
Your Appointment, Step by Step
Most neurotoxin visits take about 15 to 30 minutes, including your consultation.

Consultation
A licensed provider reviews your medical history, medications and any past injectables, watches how your face moves, and agrees with you on the areas, the product and the dose.

Treatment
Your skin is cleansed and a few very fine injections are placed in each area. Most clients describe a quick pinch, and the injections themselves take only a few minutes.

Aftercare
Stay upright and avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas for the rest of the day. Your provider gives you personalized instructions on exercise, makeup and skincare before you leave.

Follow-Up
Results settle over about two weeks. If you’re new to neurotoxins, your provider may suggest a check-in around then to review how you responded.
Downtime
Back to Your Day
There’s no real downtime, and most people go straight back to work or errands. Small bumps at the injection points usually fade within an hour.
Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or a mild headache can happen. A small bruise is possible and may last up to about a week, so leave a buffer before photos or a big event. If you ever have trouble breathing, swallowing or speaking after treatment, get medical help right away.
Results
When You’ll See It, How Long It Lasts
Dysport can start working in as little as 2–3 days, Xeomin in 3–5 days and Botox in 3–7 days. Full results show at around two weeks.
Results typically last 3–4 months, after which muscle movement gradually returns. Many clients keep a maintenance schedule of treatment every few months. Results vary from person to person.

What’s the difference between Botox, Dysport and Xeomin?
All three relax muscles the same way. Dysport tends to spread a little more and can kick in faster, which suits larger areas like the forehead. Xeomin is a “naked” formula without complexing proteins. Botox is the most established. Units aren’t interchangeable between brands, which is why the per-unit prices differ. Your provider will recommend the best fit for you.
How many units will I need?
It depends on the product, the areas you treat, your muscle strength and how much movement you want to keep. Your provider will confirm the dose, and the total cost, at your consultation before anything is injected.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel a quick pinch with each injection, and the needles are very fine. The injections are over in a few minutes.
Will I look frozen?
Not unless that’s the look you ask for. Dosing is tailored to you, so you can soften lines while keeping natural expression. If it’s your first time, starting conservatively and adjusting at follow-up is a good approach.
Who shouldn’t get neurotoxin injections?
Neurotoxins aren’t recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with an active skin infection in the treatment area. Certain neuromuscular conditions and medications may also rule it out. How far ahead of an event should I book?
